Writes $25k-$75k first checks; decides off a memo, not a feed.Dana Liu is a Bay-Area-to-Atlanta angel investor who has written 14 first checks over the past six years, most of them $25k-$75k into pre-seed and seed-stage software and health companies. She spent a decade as an operator (early product lead at two venture-scale startups, one acquired) before turning her own liquidity and network into an active angel practice. Dana is deliberate to the point of being slow: she will track a founder for months on a watchlist before requesting access, and once she requests a proof page she expects to read a tight diligence memo and a real data room rather than scroll a marketing feed. She is currently in the middle of exactly that motion on f3 - she has submitted an access request to a founder she has been watching and is waiting on the founder to approve it before she can open the privileged diligence view. She is patient about the wait but will quietly drop a prospect if the founder never responds.
